Les Lackman is Deputy Director of the UCLA Engineering Institute for Technology Advancement. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science with an appointment in the Mechanical and Aerospace Department as well as Director of Industrial Relations. He also teaches a course in Program Management, and is working with the Anderson School on implementing a joint Engineering/Anderson M.S. degree in Engineering Management. Prior to joining UCLA in 2000, he was Vice President and Site Manager at Boeing where he served as the key executive in the integration of Rockwell Aerospace. He received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Southern California. He is a founding member of the American Academy of Mechanics and a fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He was also a member of the advisory board to the College of Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
