Larry Carlson is Associate Director of the UCLA Engineering Institute for Technology Advancement. He also serves as Director of Advanced Materials and is the Technical Fund Manager for the Easton foundation where he focuses on developing new materials for use in aerospace and sporting goods industries. He also serves as Principal Investigator on several privately and government funded programs including research for NIST and several DOD divisions. Prior to joining UCLA in 2009, he spent 20 years at Easton Sports where he was Vice President for Research and Development. Prior to his work at Easton Sports, he spent 15 years with Alcoa in various engineering management and marketing roles. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and has done graduate work at Lehigh University, the University of Pittsburgh, and UCLA.
